As the days grew shorter we were too busy to update the web page!

A quick roundup of what we've been doing and where we're going as the daylight returns in 2010

Between facilitating the Democracy and Relocalization workshop at October's Relocalization Conference, to getting local AfD'ers together for November's regional member meeting, to subsequent chapter and national discussions of home rule and corporate personhood, we've been a little remiss about updating this webpage...

Until we get the "long versions" of our activities written out and posted, please visit the national Alliance for Democracy's blog for news on what's happening with our Massachusetts groups, the Boston/Cambridge Alliance and North Bridge chapter, as well as anti-corporist campaigns and grassroots organizing in Oregon, California, Maine, Arizona and elsewhere.

We'll be meeting during the week of January 18, 2010, and we'd like you to join us. Please email afd@thealliancefordemocracy.org to get on the reminder list, or to give a preference for dates. Meetings are usually held at the AfD office in Waltham, and rides are available from Riverside--let us know in advance you need a lift!

We hope to be posting write-ups and thoughts on the Relocalization Conference, with links to the materials we presented and possibly video from the conference as well. Also, look for links to info on corporate personhood, as we get ready to respond to a likely broad decision on Citizens United v. FEC.
